Marc Leishman saw plenty of new courses as a PGA TOUR rookie last year. He'll add at least three more to the list in 2010 after finishing 11th in the FedExCup and earning spots in the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open. Leishman, the early favorite for 2009 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year, will have quite a busy April, in fact. The Aussie is getting married, but he's made sure his American bride blocked out Masters week. Now the only worry is getting tickets for friends. When they can find the time, the Leishman's should be able to go on a nice honeymoon after he earned more than $1.7 million. He had three top-10s, two in consecutive starts in Texas, and the third when he tied for second at the BMW Championship.
I can't wait to see how good he is going to be, and I bet he can't either. Perhaps no one took advantage of the Playoffs better than this Nationwide Tour grad.
The rookie ranked 17th in driving distance, but was almost as adept with his irons, ranking 39th in greens in regulation. He also made the most of moving day, ranking ninth in third-round scoring average.
