The 2010 season looms large on the horizon for Ian Poulter - and not just because we wonder what sartorial surprises he has in store. The colorful Brit wore pink from head-to-toe in November for a 30-hole marathon as he won the rain-plagued Barclays Singapore Open by one shot The win was his eighth on the European Tour. Poulter is still looking for his first in America, but if he keeps giving himself opportunities like he did in 2009 that breakthrough victory can't be far away. He could be a threat again in the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor, as well. Poulter only played in 17 events on TOUR but he shattered his previous career high with more than $2.4 in earnings. He only missed four cuts, had five top-10s and finished 25th or higher in all but one event.

The Englishman missed the green in regulation but still made par 65.14 percent of the time in '09, which made him fourth on TOUR in the scrambling category.
