It's hard to imagine 2010 being a comeback season when a player is coming off a year when he wins $1.9 million. But even Anthony Kim would tell you that with the exception of three or four events last year, he didn't meet the high standards he sets for himself. A series of nagging injuries and a schedule that saw him increase his appearances overseas took their toll on the talented 24-year-old who had won twice in 2008. Kim did finish third twice and second once last year but only really had a chance to win in his title defense at the AT&T National where he was tied with Tiger Woods entering the final round but shot 71 to the eventual champ's 67. Kim finished in a tie for second, six shots behind Geoff Ogilvy, at the season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship and he fired a closing 66 at the RBC Canadian Open to tie for third but was four shots out of the playoff there. He only finished in the top 25 five more times - although he did tie for 10th at the World Golf Champions-HSBC Champions, which is unofficial on the PGA TOUR.
Looking forward to seeing what a grown up Anthony Kim looks like on the PGA TOUR. His tenacity is infectious and his game is enormous.
Kim's putting stats improved greatly, as he tied for second in putting average in 2009 and tied for 26th in the same category in '08. He was also T2 in birdie average.
