Recorded the first hole-in-one at the tournament since the event moved to the Plantation Course at Kapalua in 1999 by using a 5-iron on the
203-yard eighth hole. The shot earned him a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS55 AMG and was the first eagle of the season...In first career start at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, fired a final-round 6-under-par 66 to jump from T44 to T10...Followed that with his third top-10 in four starts with a T4 at the Buick Invitational. Left his 64-foot eagle putt on 72nd hole just a couple inches short to miss out on a chance to join playoff between winner Tiger Woods, Jose Maria Olazabal and Nathan Green...In March, added a T5 at the Ford Championship at Doral, his fourth top-10 in seven starts...Held one-stroke lead after two rounds at the Bay Hill Invitational presented by MasterCard. After finishing 134th on money list in rookie season in 2004, improved status for 2005 with T26 finish at 2004 TOUR Qualifying School. On 108th and final hole, stuck approach shot to two feet and converted birdie putt to clinch TOUR card. Made 30 starts as a rookie in
2004 and played on the weekend 17 times. In only his 17th career start on TOUR, collected his first top-10 with a T10 finish at the Wachovia Championship. The Clemson graduate received a sponsor exemption into the event. Posted one of three aces during second round of Cialis Western Open. Used 5-iron from 220 yards on the 12th hole. For the first time in his TOUR career posted four rounds in the 60s at the Michelin Championship at Las Vegas to finish T15. Second top-10 was a T10 finish at the FUNAI Classic at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort, aided by four rounds of 68. After missing his 2003 PGA TOUR card by a stroke at the 2002 Qualifying Tournament, finished 17th on 2003 Nationwide Tour money list to earn first TOUR card. Jumped into the top 20 on the money list with three weeks remaining in the season, by earning his first Nationwide Tour title at the Gila River Golf Classic at Wild Horse Pass Resort.
