suffered when he tripped on some stairs at home the Tuesday of tournament week. Finished three shots behind champion Ben Curtis...Finished T9 at the World Golf Championships-American Express Championship in London, his first start in a World Golf Championships event. 2005: Finished in the top 100 for the fourth time in five years. with two holes to play but bogeyed the last two holes. Aced the second hole at the TPC at Sugarloaf during the second round of the 2002 BellSouth Classic. Used an 8-iron from 146 yards. Shared the first round lead at 2002 Canon Greater Hartford Open after opening with season-best 64, finished T20. In second start of the season posted a T15 at the 2002 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am. Made $860,933 in 2001 on the PGA TOUR on the strength of five top-10s, including a runner-up finish at the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic. On cold and rainy opening day at the 2001 Nationwide Arkansas Classic, shot 31 on the front nine, finished with a 65, led wire-to-wire and won by three. The next week committed to the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic, shot 15-under-par and finished second to Scott Hoch. Month later opened with three rounds in the 60s at 2001 MasterCard Colonial. Stood one stroke back after 36 holes and shared top of leaderboard with Phil Mickelson at 11-under-par 199 through 54 holes. Shot 73 on Sunday for T5. Following an opening 67 at the 2001 B.C. Open, a second-round 62 gave him a three-stroke lead. Closed with a pair of 72s for T8. In 2000, split time on the Nationwide Tour and PGA TOUR.
