KAPALUA, Hawaii -- Earlier this week, Adam Scott was named the winner of the PGA TOUR's first-ever "Pair the Pros" vote, in which fans were able to choose whom they would like to see paired with defending champion Dustin Johnson for Round 1 at Kapalua.
After winning the fan vote, Scott, who is making his 2013-14 debut this week, took time to answer a few questions from PGA TOUR social media fans. His answers are below:
Well, it was all a lot of fun, because everyone kind of praised me wherever I went with the Green Jacket, and then I played good on top of that, so I had a good month. It wasn't too difficult.
My favorite beach to surf is Burleigh Heads at home in Queensland, Australia. My favorite song to play on the guitar? How about a favorite song to listen to. None of them sound any good if I'm playing. I really like "Classical Gas." The guitar in that is quite good.
I have a ton from when I was a kid, but from the professional side of things, I'd have to say that playing a practice round with Greg Norman at the Masters the first time I played there was unbelievable. That probably tops the list.
All I can tell you is that you can guarantee it's coming out of Australia.
We get asked this question quite a bit in pro-ams and other outings and the best advice I can give any amateur golfer is to take more club.
We'll see. The first one didn't come so easy. It took awhile. I'd like the second one to come quicker, but we'll see. Of course, I put a big emphasis on the majors and the World Golf Championships, and THE PLAYERS, all the big tournaments, but the majors are what we are out here for and now I've got a taste of it, I certainly want to try and get another one.
