Jim Furyk won the FedExCup in 2010, becoming the first champion to come from outside the top 5 in the Playoffs-ending TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. The 2010 season marked Furyk's sixth consecutive season with seven or more top-10 finishes. Furyk carded the most top 10s on TOUR without a victory in 2008 and 2009 with 20 top-10 finishes in 49 starts over those two seasons.

Furyk returned to the winner's circle in the 2010 as he racked up a career-high three victories including his triumph at East Lake. Furyk also posted early-season victories at the Transitions Championship and The Heritage.
