He then went onto eagle the par-5 fifth hole to record his third eagle of the week. Stricker is the first player at the Memorial Tournament and the 13th on the PGA TOUR (since 1983) to record an ace, and two eagles (one on a par 4 and one on a par 5) in the same week. Prior to his first eagle on the eighth hole in the second round, Stricker had played 592 holes on TOUR this year and recorded just two eagles. This week, he recorded three eagles over a seven-hole stretch. Stricker is also dominating the field on the first nine holes of Muirfield Village this week at 14-under par through three rounds. On the front nine, Stricker has missed just six greens compared to the 13 his missed on the back nine. He's gained over six strokes on the field with the putter on the first nine compared to losing nearly six strokes with the putter on the back nine.
