The final round of the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic Malaysia is set to begin Saturday night (ET). Here's a preview:
Groups we're watching: Tee time Players 10:52 p.m. ET
Kevin Streelman, Martin Laird
If Streelman avoids the big numbers (three double-bogeys this week), he could make some Sunday noise.
11:11 p.m. ET
Luke Donald, Ricky Barnes
Donald has three 67s, but may need to go lower to catch Crane. Barnes, the first-round leader, hasn't gotten much going since Thursday.
11:30 p.m. ET
Carl Pettersson, Ben Crane
Crane has 13 birdies and one bogey his last 36 holes and is in the driver's seat at The MINES.
EXPERT PREVIEW: PGATOUR.COM's expert previews the fourth round:
Temp: 91 high/77 low
Chance of rain 60 percent. NW winds around 8 mph.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat turned in a 6-under 29 on the front nine while Mardan Mamat was the day's biggest mover, jumping from 17th to a tie for third after carding a 65. TOUR rookie Rickie Fowler briefly had a share of the lead at early in Saturday's action, but finished the day six shots off the pace.
With that kind of movement on the leaderboard, you can expect some final-round excitement at The MINES Resort and Golf Club.
Ben Crane, the third-round leader, won in his second start of the 2010 season at the Farmers Insurance Open. Will he bookend his year with victories? His stats for the entire year have been superb -- he's ninth in Driving Accuracy Percentage and third in the All-Around Ranking. Watch out for Crane, who finished 27th in the FedExCup race just a few weeks ago.
