ABC-Enhanced TV application available for Bob Hope Chrysler Classic
This week’s Bob Hope Chrysler Classic will feature the unique and interactive ABC-Enhanced TV application, available through PGATOUR.COM and ESPN.com to coincide with ABC Sports’ weekend telecast of the five-round tournament. This application is very popular in football and is now available for the first time on the PGA TOUR. The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is the first of several PGA TOUR tournaments that will feature ABC-Enhanced TV coverage, which enables fans to access content via their personal computers that is synchronized, to the second, with the ABC telecasts of TOUR events. The content is highly interactive, produced from a live control room and offers the user/viewer numerous features, including fantasy prediction games, polls and trivia, background information about the players, and more. "We are excited to work with ABC to offer the millions of golf fans at PGATOUR.COM the opportunity to experience this unique interactive application," said Paul Johnson, PGA TOUR Vice President of New Media. "ABC-Enhanced TV immerses you in the telecast and provides an additional level of entertainment while you watch." Saturday's telecast will air 3-6 p.m. ET. Sunday's will begin at 3:30 p.m. with an anticipated 6 p.m. conclusion.
