Current Year PGA TOUR Highlights

Lost to Brandt Snedeker on the second playoff hole (No. 16) with a bogey-4 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Had a five-shot lead entering the final round. The record for the largest lead on TOUR with 18 holes to play only to lose is six strokes by five players. Three-round total of 198 tied the tournament's 54-hole record orginally set by Tiger Woods (2008) and Woody Blackburn (1985). Led the field in Putts (Greens in Regulation), at 1.632, and was second in Driving Distance, at 314.4 yards. Playoff loss came in his second start at the Farmers Insurance Open (T53 in 2011). It was his first playoff on the PGA TOUR. Held a share of the lead after the first round and sole possession of the lead after the second and third rounds.

One week and, as he puts it, "6,000 new Facebook friends" later, rallied from eight strokes back in the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open with a 6-under 65 to claim his first PGA TOUR win by a stroke over Ben Crane. The come-from-behind win matched the third-largest in TOUR history and was the largest in tournament history. Was cheered on by a gallery all week who affectionately dubbed him "The Comeback Kid." Choking back tears at the trophy presentation, credited and dedicated the win to his parents.

Career Highlights

2011: Got his rookie year off to a solid start, netting four top-30 finishes in his first seven starts en route to four top 10s.

In July, suffered a disappointing loss by a stroke to Steve Stricker, who holed a putt from off the green on the 72nd hole at the John Deere Classic. The runner-up finish was his first top-10 on TOUR in his 32nd career start. En route to second-place honors, he matched his career-best round on TOUR with a pair of 65s in the first and third rounds.

Had it not been for a second-round, 5-over 75, he would have had a solid chance for victory at The Greenbrier Classic. Bookended 4-under 66s and a third-round, 5-under 65 to turn in a T9 finish, the second top-10 of his career. Was just two strokes out of the three-man playoff, won by Scott Stallings.

Three rounds of 3-under 68 and a second-round 71 led to a T10 finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship—his third top 10 of the season.

Finished T10 at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open for his fourth top 10 in last eight starts. Carded all four rounds in the 60s at TPC Summerlin. 2010: In his third Nationwide Tour start of the season, finished T9 at the Panama Claro Championhip, his then-career-best finish.
