Began the year by making just three cuts in 11 starts before posting his first top-10 finish, at the Chiquita Classic. Fired a 65 in the first round, good enough to tie him for third, three strokes back. Followed that with a second-round 66 and a third-round 67 to move to solo third. Fell back Sunday with a 71 to finish T10. Tied an all-time Nationwide Tour record when he closed his final round at the Cox Classic with six consecutive birdies. Equaled the mark set by Robert Conrad at the 2003 Mark Christopher Charity Classic for most consecutive birdies to finish a tournament. Final-day 63 moved him to T27. |
