Aced the 132-yard 15th hole in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open. His shot with a 9-iron hit playing partner Kris Blanks' ball on the green and caromed into the hole. One of four aces on that hole in the second round at Glen Abbey Golf Club and one of eight during the week. The four players making an ace on No. 15 won a new Z-4 from BMW. Finished T36. Posted his first career top-10 with a T3 at Turning Stone Resort Championship with a 16-under-par total, one stroke shy of joining the Matt Kuchar and Vaughn Taylor playoff. Joined winner Matt Kuchar as the only two players to shoot all four rounds in the 60s for the week. | Advanced through all three stages of the 2008 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament to earn his 2009 PGA TOUR rookie card. Began the final round tied for 25th and shot a 5-under 67 to earn his card on the cut line. Made only four pars in the round and shot 33 on the back nine with six birdies, including four of his final five holes at the PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course. Only PGA TOUR start entering 2009 was a missed cut at the 2004 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Has made three career Nationwide Tour starts, including two in 2004 and a T64 at the 2008 Price Cutter Charity Championship. Played at Duke from 1999-2003 and compiled the most competitive rounds in Duke history (152). College teammate of TOUR player Kevin Streelman. Father, Robert, played football at Northwestern.
