2011: In just his second start of the year, shot a final-round, 8-under 64 at the Price Cutter Charity Championship to pull away and win his first Nationwide Tour title. He opened the tournament by shooting a 10-under 62 and kept his momentum all week. He managed only one birdie through the first six holes Sunday but then made three on holes 7, 8 and 11 and then added four more to win by five strokes. It was only his second start of the season while playing on a Minor Medical Exemption. He has struggled with a back injury for most of the last two seasons. In his initial start of the campaign, he was T49 one week earlier, at the Cox Classic, earning him a spot in the Springfield, MO, tournament field. His previous-best Tour finish was a T7 at the 2009 HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship. The win allowed him to move all the way to No. 23 on the money list. Did not have another top-25 finish following his victory and ended the season No. 51 on the money list. 2010: Did not make a Nationwide Tour start. 2009: Finished No. 93 on the Nationwide Tour money list after making 13 cuts in 23 starts but had only one top-10 finish. Had his best week of the year at the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship, where he held a one-stroke lead after 54 holes before eventually settling for a T7. Followed that with a T13 at the Michael Hill New Zealand Open the next week. Has made the cut in six of 19 career starts on the Natiowide Tour. 2008: Was one for five, with only cut made a T18 at the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. 2007: Made three of seven cuts, with a T9 at the same Livermore tournament. 2004: Lone start on the PGA TOUR came at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, where he finished T41. Had played on several mini tours over the years and won several times. List of victories include 2001 Tight Lies Tour Baton Rouge Open, 2003 Waterloo Open and Utah Open, 2005 New Mexico Open and Nevada Open. Was T4 at the 2008 Canadian Tour Championship. |
