Earned rookie TOUR card with T25 finish at PGA TOUR National Qualifying Tournament, his first time in finals. One of eight players to play through all three stages. Has never played in a PGA TOUR event, with six career Nationwide Tour starts, including three in 2006. In recent years, has focused primarily on the NGA Hooters Tour and finished 16th on Hooters Tour money list in 2006, competing in 11 events. In 2005, captured the NGA Hooters First City Classic (Savannah, GA). Won Carolinas Pro Golf Tour Championship in 2006. Spent the 1999 season on the Tour de Las Americas and 2001-02 seasons on the Golden Bear Tour. Played collegiately at the University of Tulsa, where he was a two-time winner of the Ultimate Team Award (athletic and academic excellence, along with community support). American Junior Golf Association first-team All-American selection in 1994. Wife, Jamie, was a three-time All-Big 12 selection in softball at the University of Nebraska. Brother-in-law Justin Fuente quarterbacked the University of Oklahoma to victory over Texas in annual Red River Shootout in 1996. Since turning professional, has spent time working in sales, at the family paint store in Tulsa and as a caddie at Dallas National GC.
