| Made the cut in 10 of 26 starts during his rookie season on the PGA TOUR in 2008. Making just his fifth career start, and first of the season, posted first top-10 finish with a T8 at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Next best effort was a T12 at the Buick Open. Fourth-round 65 in final stage of 2007 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament led to second-place finish, earning his TOUR card for 2008. Finished T5 at Jacob's Creek Open Championship in one of two Nationwide Tour starts in 2007. Won 2007 Omega European Masters on the European Tour with a chip-in on the first playoff hole to defeat Phillip Archer of England. The win was the third of his career on the European Tour (2004 Irish Open, 2003 St. Omer Open). Finished T2 at 2006 ING New Zealand PGA Championship. Also finished T16 at the 2006 British Open. As an amateur, won the 1999 ANZ Players Championship on the Australasian Tour the week after Aaron Baddeley did exactly the same in the Australian Open, the first time two amateurs had won successive professional events. Won the 1998 Australian Amateur. Played the final round of the 2007 BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour in 113 minutes and shot a 77.
