Rookie on the PGA TOUR after finishing 20th on the 2006 Nationwide Tour money list. Posted two top-10s in nine starts as a rookie on the 2006 Nationwide Tour. Posted rounds of 73-70-69-69 to finish at 7-under 281 along with Michael Sim at the Jacob's Creek Open Championship. Claimed his first Nationwide Tour victory with a bogey on the second extra hole. His win represented the fourth by an Australian since the event joined the Nationwide Tour schedule in 2002. In just his fourth start of the season, finished second at the inaugural Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship, three strokes behind winner Tripp Isenhour. Also played extensively during the season on the Japan Golf Tour-with 15 starts, highlighted by his third career victory on that tour at the Japan Open. Other strong outings were posted on the Australasian Tour at the MFS Australian Open Championship (T2) and the MasterCard Masters (T9). Missed the cut in his only PGA TOUR start at the Bay Hill Invitational presented by MasterCard. Member of the Australasian Tour since 1999. Had his best season in 2005 with a 10th-place finish on the Order of Merit. Finished T2 to Robert Allenby at the 2005 Australian Open. Had five top-10s on the Japan Golf Tour in 2005, with his best outing a third-place finish at the Sun Chlorella Classic. Captured his first Japanese Tour victory by four strokes at the 2004 Fujisankei Classic near Tokyo in June. Rounded out a successful 2004 season on that Tour with a four-shot win at the season-ending Golf Nippon Series JT Cup. His strong play in 2004 led to a fourth-place finish on the Order of Merit. Enjoyed a sensational rookie season on the Japan Golf Tour in 2003, with five top-10s, including runner-up efforts at the Suntory Open and the Bridgestone Open. Winner of the 1999 Rice Planters Amateur. Lists Greg Norman and tennis player Pat Rafter as his heroes. Former Australian Junior Tennis champion.
