2011 Season Highlights

Finished in the top 125 for the third consecutive season since joining the TOUR in 2002. First top-10 of season was T8 at the Michelin Championship in 31st start. Collected $112,000 in Las Vegas and jumped to No. 149 on the money list.

Two weeks later, finished T3 at the Chrysler Championship thanks to a closing 5-under 67. Improved his season earnings to $677,043 with his $216,164 payday in Tampa, lifting him over the mark to secure his card for the 2006 season.

Career Highlights

2004: Made 17 cuts and finished in the top-five twice.

In 10th start of season, finished solo fourth at the HP Classic of New Orleans, his first top-five of the season. Collected a career-high $244,800.

Recorded a career-best finish at the B.C. Open in July, posting four rounds in the 60s, including a final-round 66 for T3 finish.

Second time he has represented the Japan team with Shigeki Maruyama at the WGC-World Cup. 2003: Had a career year in money earned ($1,026,678) and position on the money list (69th).

Despite making 20 of first 22 cuts, first top-10 did not come until Reno-Tahoe Open in 23rd start, a T6.

Two weeks later held the lead at the Bell Canadian Open after 18 and 54 holes. Had a two-stroke lead heading into the final round. Closing 1-over 71 dropped him into a T4.

Posted third top-10 finish in four starts with a T5 at the John Deere Classic.

Shared first-round lead at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic with eventual winner John Huston and Carlos Franco before finishing T4. His $124,000 payday in Mississippi lifted him over $1 million for the first time in his career.

Represented the defending champion Japan team with Shigeki Maruyama at the WGC-World Cup in Kiawah Island, SC. Maruyama teamed with Toshi Izawa to win in 2002 in Mexico. 2002: One of 11 rookies to finish in the top 125.

Recorded first ace of TOUR season in the first round of the Sony Open of Hawaii on the par-3 seventh hole.

Final-round 65 good for T7 finish at the SEI Pennsylvania Classic, his first top-10 in 48 career PGA TOUR starts.

Two weeks later, owned share of the lead through 18 holes at the Disney Golf Classic, finished T4. Paycheck of $162,800 was best of the season.

Made the last seven cuts of the season but withdrew from his final event, the Buick Challenge, prior to third round due to symptoms of vertigo. 2001: T23 at PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament to earn TOUR card for 2002.

Played the Japan Golf Tour since 1995, with nine career victories. Notched 10 top-10s in 16 starts on the Japan Golf Tour, including wins at the Tsuruya Open and Gate Way to the Open Mizuno Open.
