| Returns to the PGA TOUR after graduating from the Nationwide Tour for the second time. Member of the Nationwide Tour in 1996, 2000-01 and 2003-04 and the PGA TOUR in 2002. Finished 19th on the 2004 Nationwide Tour with $199,943. Posted two runner-up finishes, losing in a playoff to Kevin Stadler at the Lake Erie Charity Classic and finishing two strokes behind Scott Gump at the Albertsons Boise Open. Finished the 2003 season No. 35 on the Nationwide Tour money list. Recorded the second victory of his career on that circuit at the rain-soaked Virginia Beach Open, his only top-10 of the season. In rainy conditions with wind chills in the 40s, finished his round with seven consecutive pars to hang on for two-stroke victory over Vaughn Taylor. Finished No. 183 on the 2002 PGA TOUR money list. Made nine of 27 cuts. Cracked the top 25 on two occasions, a T15 at the SEI Pennsylvania Classic and T17 at the Disney Golf Classic. Earned first PGA TOUR card by finishing 15th on the 2001 Nationwide Tour money list. Four rounds in the 60s gave him a one-stroke victory over Tjaart Van Der Walt at the Boise Open. Played on the PGA Tour of Australasia 1996-99. Won the 1999 Greg Norman Holden Classic and 1996 AMP Air New Zealand Open. Played the European Tour 1997-99. Has played in three British Opens (1997-99) and made the cut in 1998 (T66). Member of New Zealand's World Cup team in 1997 along with Grant Waite. Played on New Zealand's Dunhill Cup team in 1997-99. Only player to win all of the New Zealand Golf Association titles, Under-19, Under-21, Amateur and Open. Broke his neck in December 1999 boogie-boarding and says he is lucky to be walking, let alone playing golf. | |
