Playing on a Major Medical Extension in 2005, did not make a cut in eight starts and did not play for almost five full months (March-July). Coupled with $37,127 earned in 16 events in 2004-05 has the opportunity with Major Medical Extension carryover to play in 13 events in 2006 to earn $586,135 and match the $623,262 winnings of 2004's No. 125, Tag Ridings. If he does so, will play out of the Major Medical Extension category for the remainder of the season. Rookie season on TOUR in 2004 was limited to eight events due to back injury. Grated Major Medical Extension for 2005. Best finish was T25 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Qualified for PGA TOUR after finishing T26 at 2003 Qualifying Tournament. Medalist by six strokes over cousin Joseph Summerhays during first stage of tournament held at Bayonet Course in Seaside, CA. Only player to finish that stage below par (5-under).
