Career Highlights

2007: Recorded a career-high eight top-25 finishes in a season in which he eclipsed the $1-million mark in earnings for the second time in his career. Was eligible for the first two events in the PGA TOUR's Playoffs for the FedExCup, but was forced to withdraw after the first round of each due to a wrist injury. Notched his first top-10 finish of the season in his fifth start with a T8 effort at the PODS Championship. Finished third at the Verizon Heritage after beginning his final round with a 30 on the front nine.

Second shot on the par-4 16th hit a tree and caromed out of bounds, resulting in a double bogey and ending his chances at the title.

Marked his best finish on the PGA TOUR since the 2003 U.S. Open where he finished in solo second to Jim Furyk. 2006: Retained card for 2007 on the strength of two top-10s.

Posted first top-10 with a T4 at the Cialis Western Open, aided by a final-round 3-under-par 68. Top-10 was just third since posting a solo second at 2003 U.S. Open in suburban Chicago at Olympia Fields.

Second top-10 was a T7 finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Increased his season earnings to $696,599 with his $160,050 payday, helping him secure his card for the 2007 season. 2005: Did not post a top-10 but finished in the top 125 (No. 105) on the TOUR money list aided by five top-25s, a T11 at Wachovia Championship, T21 at the Memorial Tournament, T14 at U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee and T12s at Buick Open and Michelin Championship at Las Vegas.

Aced the par-3 third hole in the third round of the Shell Houston Open with a 6-iron from 199 yards. 2004: Finished 68th on the money list in his first official season as a member. Season included two top-10s, six top-25s and over $1 million in earnings.

Finished fourth at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, falling to Tiger Woods in the semifinals, 2 and 1. In consolation final, lost to Darren Clarke, 1-up. Four wins came over Fred Funk, Mike Weir, Colin Montgomerie and Ian Poulter. 2003: Joined the PGA TOUR as a Special Temporary Member prior to the Western Open, having earned $709,600 in five events, exceeding the No. 150 (Tom Scherrer/$356,657) from the 2002 TOUR money list.

Recorded his first top-10 on the PGA TOUR with T9 at World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship after losing to eventual champion Tiger Woods (7 and 6). Defeated Justin Leonard and Bob Estes in the first two rounds.

Posted best TOUR finish, with a runner-up at the U.S. Open, three strokes back of Jim Furyk.

Represented Australia with Stuart Appleby at the World Cup and played for the International Team at The Presidents Cup in South Africa. 2002: Ensured a five-year exemption on the European Tour when he won the Linde German Masters. 2001: Took a six-week break after The TNT Open when he returned home to Adelaide to get married. 2000: Collected a second TNT Dutch Open title in three years, leading from start to finish and making just one bogey all week. 1998: Won twice on the European Tour and finished 11th in Volvo Order of Merit. Won Moroccan Open by eight strokes to record maiden victory in Europe. Added TNT Dutch Open which he dedicated victory to his close friend, Stuart Appleby, whose wife died in Paris earlier that week.

Captured the ANZ Players Championship in homeland of Australia. 1997: Captured second career Victorian Open. 1995: First professional title of note at the Victorian Open in Australia.
Personal

Two ribs cut out in December 1993 after doctors diagnosed blood clot. Took 18 months to recover.

Has twice missed earning a PGA TOUR card by one stroke at the finals of Qualifying School (1998 and 2000).
