| Earned first PGA TOUR card via a T28 finish at the 2003 Qualifying Tournament. Member of the Japan Golf Tour Organization since 1996 and six-time winner. Finished in the top 10 (ninth) on that Tour's money list for third time in career. Won twice in 2003, the Tsuruya Open and Munsingwear Open KSB Cup. As 91st ranked player in Official World Golf Ranking qualified for the 2001 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and finished T33, his only money finish in six career TOUR starts. Best season in Japan came in 2000, when he finished fifth and also won the Mitsubishi Morters Tournament and Tokai Classic. Other two victories in Japan came at the 1999 VISA Taiheiyo Masters, where he defeated Darren Clarke and Ryoken Kawagishi in a playoff, and the 1997 Sapporo Tokyu Open. | |
