One of two three-time winners on the BUY.COM TOUR in 1996, along with Stewart Cink. earned his PGA TOUR card as BUY.COM TOUR's second-leading money winner. won Greater Greenville Classic, Permian Basin Open and Utah Classic. also had three second-place finishes that year. in 1995, was a Monday qualifier into field at Carolina Classic and won the tournament. victory came on his 26th birthday. before earning his PGA TOUR card, qualified for two U.S. Opens, finishing tied for 52nd in 1993 and tied for 79th in 1996. 1997 was his rookie season on PGA TOUR. made six of first nine cuts and best finish of year was a tie for sixth at Greater Vancouver Open, his first career top-10 finish on TOUR. assured return to PGA TOUR in 1998 during three-tournament stretch in September and October with T20 at LaCantera Texas Open, T23 at B.C. Open and T9 at Buick Challenge, earning $50,525 during stretch. ranked 10th in putting in 1998 with 1.751 putts/GIR. |
