Career Highlights

2011: Highlight of his season was making history with his first Nationwide Tour victory in late August at the News Sentinel Open in Knoxville. At 49 years, 4 months, 25 days, became the oldest player to win on that circuit, and his 21-under 267 total was two strokes better than Marco Dawson.

Only other top-15 finish in 10 Nationwide Tour apperances was a T12 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am near Greenville, SC.

Made eight overall starts on the PGA TOUR and finished among the top 25 in back-to-back starts in July. Put together four consecutive sub-par scores and was T18 at the Viking Classic. The week prior at the John Deere Classic, he was T22, thanks to a final-round 67 at the TPC Deere Run.
Personal

Says of days on foreign tours: "I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I learned so much, not only about golf, but about myself. I'd be telling stories about Asia until the day I die".

Known for his patented "bucket" golf hat.

Active in promoting adoption through the Fore Adoption Foundation and the Dave Thomas Foundation.

Underwent right elbow surgery midway throught the 2005 season and experienced complications from that surgery during the summer of 2006.
