2011: Highlight of his season was making history with his first Nationwide Tour victory in late August at the News Sentinel Open in Knoxville. At 49 years, 4 months, 25 days, became the oldest player to win on that circuit, and his 21-under 267 total was two strokes better than Marco Dawson. Only other top-15 finish in 10 Nationwide Tour apperances was a T12 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am near Greenville, SC. Made eight overall starts on the PGA TOUR and finished among the top 25 in back-to-back starts in July. Put together four consecutive sub-par scores and was T18 at the Viking Classic. The week prior at the John Deere Classic, he was T22, thanks to a final-round 67 at the TPC Deere Run. |
