Qualified for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, his first appearance in a major championship since the 1991 U.S. Open. Made the cut at the 2004 B.C. Open and Texas Open to earn $13,900, his first official PGA TOUR money since 1991. Member of Nationwide Tour in 1992-93 and 2001-03. Best season on the Nationwide Tour came in 2001, when he finished 29th on money list after posting six top-10s in 17 events, including two third-place finishes. Also finished in top 11 in three of four Australasian Tour events in 2001 and finished 16th on the Order of Merit. Has not played PGA TOUR full time since 1991. With win in 1988 Beatrice Western Open, became the last player to win a PGA TOUR event in his first career TOUR start. One-stroke victory over Peter Jacobsen propelled him to 1988 Rookie of the Year honors. Winner of 1988 Victorian Open in Australia. Winner of 1987 Canadian Tour Order of Merit and Canadian Tour Rookie of the Year. Was 1986 first-team All-American. Co-champion of the Big Ten in 1986 for Northwestern. Currently employed by Phoenix Fuel Corporation, a jet fuel brokerage, has the Corporate Aircraft Marketing Manager.
