Kevin Streelman made history Sunday at the Travelers Championship when he carded seven consecutive birdies to close out his second career PGA TOUR triumph. No one in TOUR history circled that many numbers on their scorecard to conclude a winning effort.
With his triumph, Streelman earned 500 FedExCup points to more than double his season total and climb inside the top 30 in the standings. If the season ended today, Streelman would be in position to make his third trip to the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola in the FedExCup era.
Also on the move at the Travelers Championship was K.J. Choi, who netted his second runner-up finish of the season and moved ever closer to the coveted top 30 spots in the standings. Choi, having his best season since the 2011 campaign that saw him win THE PLAYERS Championship and finish 11th in the final FedExCup standings, has finished inside the top 35 in six of seven starts dating back to the Masters Tournament in April.
