With his AT&T National victory, 2011 FedExCup champion Bill Haas surged to seventh in the latest rankings, joining No. 1 Tiger Woods (four victories) and No. 3 Brandt Snedeker (AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-am) among the leaders in the 2013 race.
While Haas was returning to familiar territory, Roberto Castro was reaching unprecedented heights. The PGA TOUR sophomore, who tied the TPC Sawgrass course record at THE PLAYERS in May, earned his first career runner-up finish to climb to a career-best 41st in the latest standings. The 18-hole leader was also a 36- and 54-hole co-leader before being bettered by Haas on Sunday.
No one, however, was better in the final round than D.H. Lee. Lee posted a closing 7-under 64 to move from T20 to a third-place tie at Congressional. A rookie on TOUR, Lee moved 38 spots to 99th in the latest standings, cracking the top 100 for the first time since January.
Other moves of note include Charlie Wi (108th) and Morgan Hoffmann (113th) who started the week 126th and 125th respectively but gained some breathing room away from the FedExCup cut line.
