WGC Accenture Match Play: Make your picks
Bracket winners Championship match result Anne
Garcia def. Spieth
Sergio Garcia was made for this format, and his game has been on the upswing this season.
Schwartzel def. Matsuyama
After all the near-miss putts at Riviera, I think Schwartzel is due some good fortune this week.
Garcia def. Donald
Garcia, who got to the final four in 2010 at Dove Mountain, has appeared to be on form during his last several events.
Z. Johnson def. McIlroy
Zach's too hot and too good to get ousted early again at Dove Mountain. This is his year to finally get a WGC title.
Poulter def. Bradley
Don't care what kind of form he's showing at the moment, Poulter is tough to pick against in any match play competition.
Bradley def. Day
His Accenture record isn't great but Bradley has the mentality and he's on his game, finishing 20th or better in five of last six starts.
D. Johnson def. Simpson
When he's putting well, Dustin is almost impossible to beat. Have you been watching the past two weeks? He's putting well.
Siimpson def. Kuchar
Simpson's consistency (five top-25s in six starts this season) is perfect for match play. He was a quarterfinalist last year.
Bradley def. English
Match play picks are the ultimate guessing game. I'm taking Bradley based on his solid play of late and his bulldog mentality.
McIlroy def. Spieth
Riding theory that winner emerges from toughest bracket. Doesn’t hurt that top-seeded McIlroy opens against recently injured Boo Weekley.
McIlroy def. Bradley
McIlroy has been in good form with a runner-up and a T9 in both his European Tour starts this season. He has also proven to be tough to beat in match play.
Poulter def. D. Johnson
The 2010 Match Play king channels just enough Ryder Cup magic - and holes just enough clutch putts - to hold off the upward trending DJ.
Bradley def. McIlroy
Keegan's mental toughness will go a long way in this format.
