Cobra Golf's BiO CELL driver is expanding to include a PGA TOUR version called BiO CELL Pro, an all-titanium, 440cc model that features an extremely low center of gravity (CG) that promotes faster ball speeds, lower spin, workability and a higher launch angle.

Inspired by Cobra staffer Rickie Fowler, who has been testing and playing the club for the past few months, the driver is geared for better players with Tour-level swing speeds and has a face height that's 52.5mm -- 1.5mm shorter than Cobra's 440cc BiO CELL + driver that was designed for better players but has a slightly higher trajectory and center of gravity than the Pro version.

“This Pro Driver was designed for golfers with a strong swing that yields high launch and high spin,” said Jose Miraflor, Cobra's director of product marketing. “To help these golfers play at their best, we created the BiO CELL Pro Driver, our lowest CG ever to deliver unmatched distance and performance.”

The Pro model also includes Cobra's MyFly8 adjustable loft technology that allows golfers to choose from eight loft/trajectory settings -- 7, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, and 10 and three fade settings: 7.5, 8.5 and 9.5 degrees -- and a SmartPad strip on the sole that ensures the E9 face is in a square position when it sits at address.

BiO CELL Pro ($400) will be available May 1 in three color options -- black, blue aster and vibrant orange -- and comes standard with a Lamkin ACE 3Gen 360 grip and Matrix Red-Tie 6Q3 shaft. Custom shaft options available include Mitsubishi Rayon's Diamana D+ 72 or True Temper's PXV Tour 52.
