MARANA, Ariz. -- Srixon's Z545 driver has only been USGA's Conforming Driver Heads list since the beginning of the year, but two of the company's biggest names already have it in the bag.
Keegan Bradley and Graeme McDowell were spotted using the new driver this week at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Bradley officially switched from Cleveland's 588 Custom to the Z545 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, while McDowell made the driver change at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Another Cleveland/Srixon staffer, Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, is using the Z525 driver.
Srixon has yet to release details on the new driver that has an adjustable hosel and two adjustable weight ports -- one in the sole and another in the rear-toe portion of the head.
The only difference between the Z545 standard version and the Z545 prototype on the USGA's website appears to be the addition of the words "Lock-Unlock" next to the adjustable weight on the sole on the standard head.
Bradley and McDowell were both using the 9.5-degree standard version that had the "Lock-Unlock" script on the sole.
