One of the PGA TOUR's rising stars is on the move. Callaway announced Thursday that two-time PGA TOUR winner Harris English would be joining its growing stable of staffers this year, after signing a multi-year deal with the company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"I’ve been really happy with the new Callaway clubs. And the team at Callaway has been fantastic,” said English. “In a short period of time I’ve been able to take advantage of the resources they have and I’m excited about the start of (2014)."
Although English was under contract with PING through the end of last year, he started using Callaway products at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba — putting a set of Mack Daddy 2 wedges (47, 52 and 58 degrees) in the bag. English went on to win the tournament by four shots.
English won the FedEx St. Jude Classic in 2013, and captured the OHL Classic at Mayakoba during the start of the 2013-14 season. He is 53rd in the Official World Golf Rankings.
