An improved hosel-to-leading edge blend helps players feel secure over the ball.

For the first time in six years, Miura Golf is debuting a new blade iron
called the MB001 muscleback. Along with the Tournament Blade and the Series 1957
Small Blade, the MB001 will be just the third forged blade model in Miura's
"We don't automatically bring out a new blade every year, so this
is a big event," said Adam Barr, Miura Golf's president. "The only calendar we
operate on is the one in the minds of the Miuras. When they say a club is ready,
we go. The MB001 contains the benefits of all the lessons we have learned in
watching irons perform, since the Tournament Blade came out in 2007 and the
Small Blade arrived in 2006."
The MB001 muscleback features a few minor tweaks to the sole and appearance
at address. The size and shape of the sole was altered slightly in an effort to
improve turf interaction and give players a better chance of keeping the
clubface square at impact.

The iron also includes a number of classic Miura traits with the
narrow top line and clean, minimalistic look. Compared to the company's current
forged iron options, the MB001 has a clubhead that is nearly the same length
heel-to-toe as the Tournament Blade.
Miura's MB001 muscleback will be
available Nov. 4 with a suggested retail price of $235 per iron.
