Making his 2013 PGA TOUR debut with a completely overhauled bag, Retief Goosen managed to post his third top-10 finish in his last six starts -- dating back to the 2012 U.S. Open -- with a T9 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Sunday.

Goosen had been playing TaylorMade's Tour Preferred Forged MB irons since last season, but decided to give the RocketBladez Tour irons a try. He also added an R1 driver, two RBZ Stage 2 fairway woods (14.5 degree and 18.5 degree), and the new Lethal golf ball to the bag.

Gates adds Callaway 5-wood: Looking for a club that went 235-240 yards with a higher ball flight, Bobby Gates decided to shelve his 2-iron at Pebble Beach for a new Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme 5-wood (18 degree). The new 5-wood is a course dependent club for Gates, which means he could go back to the 2-iron if tournament conditions warrant a switch.

Clark puts new shafts in Titleist irons: Tim Clark went with a new set of True Temper PX Rifle shafts -- Clark said the shafts gave him the confidence to hit the ball high or low without losing distance -- in his Titleist CB irons.

Gainey's driver adjustment: Gainey switched into a new set of Callaway X Hot Pro irons (4-PW) early in the week, but it wasn't the only adjustment he made to his clubs. Reps also adjusted his X Hot Pro 10.5-degree driver, moving the actual loft from .6 degrees and slightly less open. The slight tweak helped Gainey, who was hanging his drives out the right with low spin, to pick up additional spin and about 5 to 7 yards more carry.

Divots: Jim Furyk put a Callaway X Hot (9.5-degree) driver in the bag for his first event of the season and finished T3 for the week in driving accuracy (83.64%). ... Seung-yul Noh adjusted the loft on his VR_S Covert from 9.5 degrees to 8.5 degrees, and put a 15-degree VR Pro Limited 3-wood in play. ... Richard H. Lee’s decision to switch from a Ping i20 driver to the new G25 paid off at Pebble Beach with a T12 finish, his second top-15 in five 2013 starts. ... Kelly Kraft switched to Callaway's RAZR Fit Xtreme (9.5-degree) driver, X Hot Pro (15 degree) 3-wood — with glue in neutral/rear position for swing weight purposes — and an Odyssey Versa No. 6 putter (white/black/white). ... Cameron Beckman, Andres Romero and Brendan Todd became the latest players to put TaylorMade's RocketBladez Tour irons in the bag.
