BOISE, Idaho -- The Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft will be a Web.com Tour staple through 2016.

Albertsons LLC and Jeff Sanders Promotions announced on Monday a three-year extension of the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft on the Web.com Tour for 2014, 2015 and 2016.

A Boise tradition since 1990, the tournament has brought aspiring PGA TOUR talent to the area while also playing a vital role in helping local charities.  Albertsons LLC’s Chief Operating Officer Bob Butler said, “We are very pleased to continue this great tradition here in our home town. I have watched this tournament grow and the competition get tougher and tougher with each year, and I’ve also been able to see the positive impact of this event on hundreds of charities throughout the Treasure Valley. It’s a tremendous privilege to be part of it.”

Jeff Sanders, Executive Director of Jeff Sanders Promotions, the tournament’s original management group said, “This all started from a one-year agreement back in 1989, and I’m proud to say that 24 years later, it’s become a tradition. I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams we would be still going strong with Albertsons as our original Title Sponsor now through 2016.   We are most excited about the opportunity to showcase the amazing talent on the Web.Com Tour in Boise and to play a role in providing much needed charity dollars to the Boise community for years to come. Our sights are set on reaching $20 million to Treasure Valley organizations. Albertsons has been such a great title sponsor for 24 years and we are very grateful to Bob Miller, Bob Butler and the Executive Team for the decision to continue.”

The Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft has given over $14 million to hundreds of charities since the tournament began and has given over $1 million to charities in each of the last six years. Tournament organizers expect to surpass the $15 million overall mark with proceeds from this year’s event.

The fact that Albertsons has been the only title sponsor since the beginning is not lost on the PGA TOUR. Web.Com Tour President Bill Calfee said today, “All of us at the PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour wish to express our appreciation to Albertsons for once again extending its relationship with the Tour and the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft. Albertsons holds the distinction of being the only lead sponsor with the same Web.com Tour event all 24 years we’ve been in existence.  We look forward to growing our partnership with Albertsons and the tournament for many years to come, and to continuing to have a very positive impact in the community and with the many worthy charities that benefit from the event.”

The future stars of the PGA TOUR will return to Hillcrest Country Club for the 24th annual Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft July 22-28, 2013. Tickets are on sale now at www.albertsonsboiseopen.com and through the Hillshire Brands TICKETS Fore CHARITY program, where one hundred percent of all ticket sales will go directly to local charities.
