Bramlett, who tied for 16th at the final stage of q-school, will make his PGA TOUR debut this week at the Sony Open in Hawaii. The 22-year-old Stanford alum is the first athlete of African-American heritage to graduate from q-school in 25 years.
“I am very excited to begin my professional golf career as a Nike athlete,” Bramlett said. “Nike equipment has been in my bag throughout my amateur and collegiate career and I believe strongly in its technology and performance.”
Bramlett graduated from Stanford in less than four years and turned professional last fall. He earned All-America honors as a freshmen when The Cardinal won the NCAA title. Bramlett also overcame two injuries to his wrist that nearly derailed his college career.
