Davis Love III, Zach Johnson and Brandt Snedeker should have plenty to talk about as they play together during the first two rounds of The McGladrey Classic on the Seaside Course at Sea Island.

Not only are the three good friends, each has a home on St. Simons Island and trains at the Sea Island Golf Learning Center.

Love has lived at Sea Island for several decades now while Johnson moved there a year ago and Snedeker also has a home on the picturesque island, although Nashville is his primary residence.

The three share instructors, as well.

Randy Myers is the fitness coach for all three while Love and Snedeker both work on their games with Todd Anderson. Johnson's sports psychologist, Morris Pickens, is also based out of Sea Island, as is another one of Love's swing coaches, Jack Lumpkin.

This week in the penultimate event of the PGA TOUR's Fall Series, Love and Johnson will be looking to join Snedeker as winners during the 2011 season. Snedeker picked up his second PGA TOUR victory in April when he beat Luke Donald in a three-hole playoff at The Heritage.

Snedeker also made a strong run through the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, tying for third in the first two events and going on to finish eighth overall. He has not played since tying for 16th at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.

Johnson, whose last victory came at the 2010 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, has posted four top-10s this year. His most recent came when he tied for sixth at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.

Love, who will captain next year's U.S. Ryder Cup team, is looking for his first win since the 2008 Children's Miracle Network Classic, which was the 20th of his career. The 47-year-old has played well in some of the year's biggest events -- tying for ninth at the British Open, 11th at the U.S. Open and 12th at THE PLAYERS Championship, a tournament he has won twice during his career.
