Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Friday's second round
JHONATTAN VEGAS
University of Texas grad and 2011 Bob Hope Classic champion Jhonattan Vegas is making his 12th start of the 2011 season this week. The Houston-area resident, made his first career PGA TOUR start as a professional at the 2008 Valero Texas Open, where he finished T36. Things have cooled down for the 2011 PGA TOUR rookie after carding a win and a top-3 finish in his first three starts of the 2011 season. Since then, Vegas has just two top-20 finishes in his last eight events including missing the cut in his last three consecutive starts.
JUSTIN LEONARD
Three-time Valero Texas Open champion Justin Leonard is making his 14th appearance at this event. Entering this week, Leonard is looking for his first top-10 finish on TOUR since the 2010 Wyndham Championship where he carded a T-3 finish.
ANTHONY KIM
Anthony Kim is making his fourth career appearance at the Valero Texas Open with his best finish coming back in 2006 where he carded a T-2 finish behind Eric Axley. Kim has just 1 top 10 in his first 10 starts of the 2011 season ranking 57th in the FedExCup standings.
