The PGA TOUR travels to TPC San Antonio this week for the Valero Texas Open. Here's how the PGATOUR.COM experts sized up the top contenders:

EXPERT PICKS
How it works: Our experts from PGATOUR.COM select the player they think will win this week's event. By using a draft process, no two picks can be the same. The player who wins the previous week picks last the following week.

Helen
Ross
ADAM SCOTT. Yes, he'll be drained after the Masters. But he'll also be motivated after finishing tied for second. And what better place for Scott to get back on track than at a couse where he's had success before?

Amanda
Balionis
ANGEL CABRERA. Cabrera was strong until the end at the Masters and I think that momentum will carry through in San Antonio. His solo 7th at Augusta was his second top 10 in three starts (T7 in Puerto Rico).
If Balionis had the top pick ... Cabrera
Chris
Dunham
GEOFF OGILVY. Much has been made about Charl Schwartzel's four-birdie finish at Augusta, but what about Ogilvy's five straight down the stretch? He's been playing great golf since returning from his early-season injury and has five top-30s in seven starts.
If Dunham had the top pick ... Ogilvy
John
Swantek
JIMMY WALKER. Always a crowd favorite, the San Antonio native - at 28th in the FedExCup - is now a legitimate contender. Ranked 6th in scoring average and T3 at Valero last year, all things point toward a "Dy-no-mite" performance.
If Swantek had the top pick ... Scott
Brian
Wacker
RYAN PALMER. He's fresh off a top 10 at Augusta National -- his first since the Bob Hope Classic -- and he's from Texas. Palmer tied for ninth in San Antonio last year when he posted a final-round 64, the best Sunday score in the field.
If Wacker had the top pick ... Ogilvy
John
Schwarb
MARTIN LAIRD. Playing at Augusta Sunday with Tiger Woods was like being in witness protection. He finished T20 at the Masters and is still riding high from his win at the Arnold Palmer. Love his game around the greens.
If Schwarb had the top pick ... Ogilvy
Ryan
Smithson
ANTHONY KIM. Missed the cut at the Masters but didn't play all that badly (73-73). Didn't play in the inagural event at TPC San Antonio last year, but always plays well in Texas. Remains one of the best putters on TOUR, so if he can get the driver straightened out ...
If Smithson had the top pick ... Palmer
Anne
Szeker
JHONATTAN VEGAS. This Texas resident and Bob Hope Classic champion is coming off his first major experience. He didn't make the cut, but he had a few highlights and will be looking to rebound at TPC San Antonio.
If Szeker had the top pick ... Scott
Lauren
Deason
STEWART CINK. Is one of those players who always likes to play the week after the Masters. This will be his first foray at TPC San Antonio. Was playing pretty well (a couple of top-15s) until he missed the cut at Augusta National. Is beyond past due to win.
If Deason had the top pick ... Scott
Mike
McAllister
RICKY BARNES. Tied for 20th in the Masters last week despite shooting 75 on Saturday. Is always on everyone's "Why hasn't he won yet?" lists. Didn't play this event last year but added it to his schedule this year with its new spot on the April calendar.
If McAllister had the top pick ... Scott
Standings after 15 events
LAST WEEK: No movement in the standings, but Mike McAllister extended his lead when Tiger Woods tied for fourth at Augusta National.
