Everything was coming up roses Sunday at Merion as Justin Rose secured his first major victory. One of the world’s best without a major coming in, Rose now has a U.S. Open to his credit.

With his win at Merion, Rose picked up 600 FedExCup points to climb into sixth place -- the same position he occupied at the close of the 2012 FedExCup Playoffs.  After not winning an event in his first seven years on TOUR, Rose now has five victories in just over three years dating back to June 2010.

Rose’s move up the ranks trailed only Ernie Els’s 32-position jump to 76th among the week’s biggest gains. Els, a four-time major champion, tied for fourth at Merion -- his first top-10 of 2013 -- to move off the Playoff bubble and into the FedExCup top 100. The Big Easy checks in at No. 76 this week.

Also earning a first 2013 top-10 was Jason Dufner, who won twice and was among the FedExCup favorites a year ago but just moved into the top 60 after last week’s performance. Nicholas Colsaerts has a trio of top 10s on the year following his T10 at the U.S. Open and has moved into the Playoff picture at No. 109 in the latest standings.

Colsaerts was the only competitor to climb into the FedExCup top 125 at Merion, dropping Robert Streb to 126th. With just 11 events remaining before the FedExCup Playoffs get under way, the pressure mounting for players on and around the bubble.

Below are the biggest movers, both up and down, following the U.S. Open.
