Projected champion
Ryan
Smithson
Adam Scott, Luke Donald
Jason Dufner, Sergio Garcia

Jason
Dufner
Dufner is under the radar this year since he hasn't done much since last year's HSBC Champions, but his tee-to-green game couldn't be better suited for Copperhead. Tied for 10th here last year. At his best in the Southeast.
John
Swantek
Sergio Garcia, Lucas Glover
Jason Dufner, Michael Thompson

Sergio
Garcia
Sergio's T-3 finish at Doral was highlighted by a 67-69 weekend when TPC Blue Monster bared its teeth. He'll be ready to avoid the bite of the Copperhead course. And I've hit my 2 cliche' limit.
Amanda
Balionis
Adam Scott, Luke Donald
Sergio Garcia, Keegan Bradley

Adam
Scott
Scott is coming off momentum at the WGC-Cadillac Championship where he carded a final round 64 en route to a T3 finish. Oh, and he is coming off a win... At The Els for Autism charity tournament at PGA National on Monday so.. That has to be a good sign, right?
Bill
Cooney
Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald
Jim Furyk, Jason Dufner

Sergio
Garcia
At times, Garcia is a fairways and greens machine, a necessity at scary-tight Copperhead. Seemingly in contention every single week, Garcia is due to win for the first time on TOUR since last year’s Wyndham Championship. I’m also taking Furyk, Donald and Dufner -- players with killer short games who rarely stray from the short grass.
Mike
McAllister
Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia
Adam Scott, Webb Simpson

Webb
Simpson
In his last eight rounds at the Copperhead course, Simpson's strokes-per-round average is 68. In 22 rounds this year on TOUR, Simpson has posted par-or-better scores 20 times.
John
Schwarb
Webb Simpson, Adam Scott
Luke Donald, Jason Dufner

Adam
Scott
Improved with every round at WGC-Cadillac, capped by a Sunday 64. Led the field in total driving, which is a good sign for this week at Copperhead's tree-lined layout.
Helen
Ross
Webb Simpson, Sergio Garcia
Martin Kaymer, Adam Scott

Webb
Simpson
It's been a quiet  2013 season for the reigning U.S. Open champion. Look for Simpson to get some momentum headed into the Masters at a course where he's finished 13th or better each of the last three years, including a runner-up finish in 2011.
Anne
Detlefsen
Adam Scott, Webb Simpson
Jason Dufner, Jim Furyk

Adam
Scott
In his two stroke-play starts on the PGA TOUR this year he's finished T10 (Northern Trust) and T3 (Cadillac). He closed last week with a 64, the low-round of the day, to send him into this week with plenty of momentum.
Brian
Wacker
Jason Dufner, Jim Furyk
Luke Donald, Louis Oosthuizen

Louis
Oosthuizen
Though it's hard not to go with Donald or Furyk given their track records there, Oosthuizen is rounding into form and has all the traits to play well on a tough Innisbrook course.
Chris
Dunham
Luke Donald, Jim Furyk
Louis Oosthuizen, Webb Simpson

Webb
Simpson
The reigning U.S. Open champion is clearly not afraid of snakes. He has carded eight consecutive sub-70 rounds at the Copperhead Course.
Rob
Bolton
Luke Donald, Jason Dufner
Sergio Garcia, Webb Simpson

Sergio
Garcia
My philosophy has always been to stick with the chalk when in the lead. It forces the opposition to make a move in a potentially awkward direction.
