Opened in 1995, the Kapolei Golf Club sits on 191 acres of former
sugar cane lands located at the southern base of the Waianae
Mountains. Architect Ted Robinson, known for his creative use of
water, moved massive amounts of dirt to create lakes and provide
elevation and contouring for the course. In addition to hosting the
inaugural Pacific Links Hawaii Championship, Kapolei Golf Club was
also the host site of the LPGA Hawaiian Ladies Open from 1996-2001.
Past champions include LPGA Hall of Fame inductee Annika Sorenstam
and 6-time Major Championship winner Betsy King.
