Players in the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship will be competing for their share of the $2.6 million purse, which equals the largest purse on the Champions Tour this season. As the last of the Champions Tour majors, with $390,000 going to the winner, the double Charles Schwab Cup points awarded to the top-10 finishers will be a critical factor in deciding the Charles Schwab Cup points race which culminates at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, CA, October 30 - November 2. Last year Loren Roberts' Senior Players Championship victory vaulted him into the Charles Schwab Cup points lead that he never relinquished in capturing the 2007 Charles Schwab Cup.
