He also leads the season-long Charles Schwab Cup points race. Haas was the Champions Tour's Rookie of the Year in 2005, Player of the Year in 2006 and has already won nine times since joining the senior circuit. In 2006 he became the first player since Hale Irwin in 2002 to claim both the Arnold Palmer Award as the leading money winner and the season-long Charles Schwab Cup crown. The Greenville, SC, resident is sixth in all-time earnings on the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour with nearly $20 million. To go along with his 11 victories on the PGA TOUR, Scott Hoch captured his first Champions Tour victory in May at the FedEx Kinko's Classic in Austin, TX. The South African missed a good portion of the 2006 season while recovering from right-shoulder surgery. This year's Senior PGA was his first Champions Tour victory and his first win since 1984, when he won three PGA TOUR titles and was fourth in earnings for the year.
