BALTIMORE, MD- Monday, August 10, 2009 - 2008 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship winner D.A. Weibring was in Baltimore today to meet with local media and announced that he will be back to his defend his title when the Champions Tour's final major of the year returns to Baltimore Country Club on September 28-October 4. Down four strokes with 14 holes to play, Weibring rallied to take the lead midway through the final round and used two par saves late to hold on for a one-stroke victory over former University of Maryland golf coach, Fred Funk. His win at the Five Farms course was his fifth Champions Tour title, matching the number of PGA TOUR victories already on his resume. The 56-year-old Texan ended the 2008 season strong with a total of six top-10 finishes, including T5 at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
