| Bruce Lietzke Makes Big Jump Into Top 30 With T2 At Administaff Small Business Classic |
|
(Sonoma, CA) - Bruce Lietzke recorded his best finish of the year, a tie for 2nd at the Administaff Small Business Classic, and jumped from 33rd to 26th on the Champions Tour official money list. Only one full-field Champions Tour event remains, this week's AT&T Championship, before the top-30 money winners gather in Sonoma for the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship, October 24-29. Several players who have been fixtures at the Sonoma Golf Club, including 2004 Charles Schwab Cup Championship winner Mark McNulty, remain on the outside looking in. Two-time Champions Tour winner Mark James stands 31st, followed by McNulty at 32nd and recent World Golf Hall of Fame inductee Larry Nelson is 34th. Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am champion Jerry Pate now resides "on the bubble" in 30th position and is idle due to injury. He will likely be passed by one or more of these players. Below is a look at the players who are currently fighting for an invitation to this year's Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
