PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Constellation is hosting the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Challenge on June 14 at PPG Place Plaza in downtown Pittsburgh to celebrate the upcoming major championship. The event will include golf simulator contests, prizes, photo opportunities with the tournament trophy, and the chance to meet two-time Stanley Cup champion, Phil Bourque. The event is free and open to the public and will take place on Friday, June 14 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
At the event, fans can step into the golf simulator to compete in a closest-to-the-pin contest for their chance to win golf balls, tournament tickets and more. Fans can also compete for prizes in a Dick’s Sporting Goods putting competition being held throughout the day.
From noon-2 p.m., two-time Stanley Cup champion Phil Bourque will be on-site to meet fans and compete in the golf simulator contests. Bourque has been part of the Penguins broadcast team for nine seasons, and is currently the color commentator for the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network, along with Mike Lange. Bourque played for the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1983-1992, and has worked for the Penguins Radio Network since retiring from professional ice hockey in 2000.
The Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Challenge will be taking place in PPG Place Plaza, located at 410 Marker St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
The Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship heads to Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pa. from June 25-30. The Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS is one of five major championships on the 2013 Champions Tour schedule and will feature a field of 81 of the game’s greatest players. With its standing as a major championship, double Charles Schwab Cup points will be awarded to the top-10 finishers.
