By Dave Senko, Champions Tour staff
Currently in his first full year on the Champions Tour, Andrew Magee made his debut last May at the Senior PGA Championship. The Paris-born Magee won four times on the PGA TOUR, including a pair of victories in 1991 at the Nestle Invitational and the Las Vegas Invitational. He went on to finish fifth on the money list that year. A veteran of over 600 starts on the PGA TOUR, he also won the 1988 Pensacola Open and the 1992 Northern Telecom Open. Magee also holds the distinction of being the only player in PGA TOUR history to make an ace on a par-4 hole. He did this at the 2001 Phoenix Open (1st rd./No. 17/driver/332 yards) when his drive caromed off Tom Byrum’s putter as Byrum was looking over his putt.
