John Huston returns to En-Joie Golf Course this week to defend the Dick's Sporting Goods Open he won a year ago with a 16-under-par 200 total.
Huston's final round 65 held off Nick Price (203) and Mark Wiebe (204), the 36-hole leader. Huston, making his third Champions Tour start, and Wiebe shared the first-round lead with 65s. Wiebe added a second-round 68 to claim the lead after two rounds at 11 under. But Huston wiped out a two-shot deficit on the final 18 to post his breakthrough victory on the Champions Tour just 25 days after his 50th birthday.
The Dick's Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, N.Y., has a new August date this year and a new contract with the Champions Tour extending its title sponsorship through 2015. The move to August was made to allow the golf course more time to recover from last year's floods in the area
