Currently a rookie on the Champions Tour, Jim Carter spent more than a dozen years on the PGA TOUR with over 400 career starts. He won the 2000 Touchstone Energy Tucson Open and also won the 1994 New Mexico Charity Classic on the Nationwide Tour. Carter was the 1983 NCAA individual champion while playing for Arizona State and was a two-time All-American for the Sun Devils.

Favorite music on the iPod -- Enjoy all types of music; favorite band is U2

Favorite team as a kid, favorite player/athlete -- Utah Stars of the old ABA and all their players

First job -- I was a dishwasher

Favorite meal -- Filet mignon, medium-charred

Favorite restaurant when on Tour -- Ruth's Chris Steak House

One talent I'd most love to have -- Sing and dance

Favorite athlete in another sport -- Steve Nash

Favorite movies -- "Rudy", "Glory Road", "Fletch" and "Remember the Titans"

My wife would say my worst habit is -- Preaching

One course I've never played that I'd love to play -- Augusta National

My most memorable vacation was -- Taking my family rafting for a week in the Grand Canyon

I'd most like to sit down for a discussion with and why -- President Obama; all the power and potential

What I drive -- Mercedes E320 Sport

My most memorable shot was -- My drive and 3-iron on 18 at Tucson National. It still makes me nervous

The first concert I ever attended was -- Journey, when I was 17

Cell phone special ring -- Each of our family members has their own ring; mine is AC/DC Back in Black!

If I'm not playing golf, I enjoy -- Doing anything with my family
