Rob Oppenheim is entering his third season on the Nationwide Tour, and he's hoping to put together a more consistent one.
Both of his seasons on the Nationwide Tour have been eerily similar. In 2010 he finished 43rd on the money list and last season he finished 44th.
"It's kind of strange that both of my seasons I was about the same place on the money list," Oppenheim said.
Oppenheim, who played at Rollins College and helped it to the Division II National Championship in 2002, also made a nice run in the final stage of PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament by finishing tied for 38th.
During the six-round grind of the final stage Oppenheim wound up 6 under with rounds of 76-71-68-74-69-68.
"It was my second time at final stage and I thought I did OK even though I struggled in that first round," he said.
Oppenheim had three top-10 finishes last season with his best finish a tie for fifth in May at the South Georgia Classic. He also had lull in the middle of the summer when he missed five straight cuts.
He ranked 35th in putting average last season and wouldn't mind improving that statistic this season. He was very good in scrambling as he ranked eighth on Tour last season.
If Oppenheim could parlay his streak of consistency when he made 15 cuts in a row from the end of 2010 to 2011 it would put him at another level on the Nationwide Tour. That streak helped him get off to a good start in 2011.
Take a closer look at Oppenheim's stats from the 2011 Nationwide Tour season.
